Today we will go to Shimba Hill National Reserve. It is a small National Reserve in the former Coast Province, 33 km from Mombasa and 15 km from the coast. It is an important area for different kind of plants – over 50% of the 159 rare plants in Kenya are found in the Shimba Hills. It is also a nationally important site for birds and butterflies. We hope we’ll see some bigger animals!

In the reserve we will stay for one night at the Shimba Hills Lodge, which is build in the trees.

So our transfer is at 2:00 pm and we are very excited!
